My name is Hanieh, but most people know me as “Honey.” I’m a proud mother of two children, aged 22 and 19. I have loved photography since I was a child, but it remained a dream for many years. After my son, my second child, was born, I decided to finally turn that dream into reality
I started with basic equipment but took the best courses and workshops to develop my skills. My first studio was a small corner in my home, where I focused on portrait photography. As my knowledge grew and my photos became more unique, more clients trusted me. I never needed to advertise because my happy clients always introduced me to others.
As my work grew, I upgraded my equipment and moved my studio out of my home. I started wedding photography and worked in many areas, including real estate, jewelry, products for brands like Michael Kors, newborn, maternity, family, and even pet photography. My studio became a professional space with loyal clients.

The pricing for our newborn photography sessions depends on which package you choose. You can view the full details for each package HERE
Our newborn photography sessions are for babies from 3 days to under 6 weeks of age
We recommend booking your baby’s session early in your 2nd trimester to avoid disappointment as we offer a limited number of sessions each month. Please book 2 to 3 weeks after your due date or if scheduled for a c-section, please select a date when your newborn will be under 6 weeks of age. We do have some last-minute openings from time to time, if you have not booked already, please feel free to reach out to us to see if we have anything last minute available. We keep our calendar up to date for availability on the website too which you can find HERE after clicking on one of the BOOK NOW buttons.
That’s ok! Please contact us if you are delivering early or late and we can discuss any opportunities for possible schedule changes.
Our photographer, Tricia is the first photographer in Oakville to be part of the Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International (APNPI). This means she has undertaken a course to ensure she is fully qualified to pose newborns safely.
McLelland Photography is known for safety even prior to the pandemic. Both Tricia and our Studio Manager, Anita still wear face masks for all their sessions. They also have high end air filters in every room in the studio too. And all items and props that are used for a session are fully cleaned and sanitized after every use.
The studio is open during the week for our newborn photography sessions, and the times we have available depends on the package you choose. Babies are best photographed early in the day when they are the sleepiest.
Silver Package – 9 am or 11 am (any day during the week)
Gold/Platinum Package – 9 am (any day during the week)
No, just yourself, your newborn, and any items they require in your diaper bag! We have an incredible collection of props, outfits, and setups for the sessions. Our Studio Manager, Anita will make sure you are fully prepared for your session prior to it taking place. She goes above and beyond to answer any questions, guaranteeing that you’ll come to your appointment feeling fully prepared and excited!

There is also the option to purchase into additional digital images. As well, albums, prints and canvas’ are also available for purchase too.
